WORKPLACE ASSESSMENTS

Workplace assessments are increasingly being used by organizations and businesses for many reasons, including:
- to locate the cause of a negative and conflictual workplace
- to determine what may be required to rectify a poisoned work environment
- to preempt the pending or possible threat of a harassment claim
- to obtain input from staff on the impact of new initiatives, restructuring changes in management and so on

Assessments may involve interviews with staff, questionnaires or surveys, focus groups or other methods to obtain information. Typically, staff remain anonymous in written reports provided to the organization. The report may provide recommendations, if desired.

Organizations and businesses consider assessments a helpful tools to keep them informed of issues that may have an impact on the workplace, effecting the bottom line, employee satisfaction, a productive workplace and quality environment.
